WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN PRESSED AND BAKED POWDERS?

Hey Beauties! :D

Todays post is all about pressed and baked powders. Do you know the difference?

One of the main differences between pressed and baked powders is that baked powders are creams that have been baked slowly, whereas pressed powder is made by mixing loose ingredients with a binder and pressing it into a mould.

So why do baked powders exist? Well, baked powders give the powder different effects. You can get silky matte powders, to sparkly finishes or marbled effects. Baked powders also tend to have a softer, more velvety texture. They can also be used dry or wet, whereas normal powders are only used dry.

So what are my favourite baked powders?

  • Models Prefer Mineral Powder Soft Touch Powder

  • Benefit Dandelion Twinkle Highlighting Powder

  • ELF Baked Eyeshadow Trio

  • SAVVY Mineral Baked Blush

There are many more baked powders that I like, but I'd need more blog space, however these are my top favourites. Do you prefer baked or pressed powders? Leave a comment below, I'd love to know.
