HYALURONIC ACID, GLYCOLIC ACID, SALICYLIC ACID, NIACINAMIDE AND RETINOL - HUH?

Welcome back to my blog. I'm sorry that I haven't been posting heaps, as I have been working hard on my online store. Anyway, I thought we could chat about hyaluronic acid, glycolic acid and salicylic acid plus niacinamide and retinol. I do promise this won't be a science lesson!

Hyaluronic Acid 

  • For dry and oily skin.
  • Helps with fine lines.
  • Known as HA or hyaluron.
  • Gentle on the skin.
  • Great for winter. 
  • Naturally found in our own bodies.

Glycolic Acid

  • For dry and oily skin.
  • Great for unclogging and cleaning out pores.
  • Helps with pigmentation.
  • Found in chemical exfoliants as it helps to dissolve dead skin cells and speed cell turnover.
  • Could be too active for sensitive skin. 

Salicylic Acid

  • For oily skin. 
  • Great for unclogging and cleaning out pores.
  • Helps combat breakouts. 

Niacinamide

  • For oily and dry skin.
  • Helps even out fine lines.
  • Great for unclogging and cleaning out pores.
  • Helps with pigmentation.
  • Helps combat breakouts. 
  • Known as B3.

Retinol

  • Great for unclogging and cleaning out pores.
  • Helps with pigmentation.
  • Helps even out fine lines.
  • A form of vitimin A.
  • Amazing for anti-aging.
  • Refines the texture of your skin. 
  • Speeds up cell turnover.
