Hey Beauties! :D

I was approached by a skincare company called Luiere. I'd never heard about them before, so I did some research and checked out their website. Turns out, they make facial masks that are free from all the nasties (alcohol, parabens, mineral oils, proylene glycol, sulphates, harsh preservatives, artificial fragrance and animal derived ingredients).

Their masks are bio-degradable, and are made from natural fibres with 100 times the absorption of any non-woven sheet mask. They are also 500 times finer than spunlace sheets and over 1000 times finer than your general pulp sheet. Basically, this allows for greater moisture retention and nutrients delivery.

So I was given two masks to try: The anti-aging and the repair mask. Lets start off by reviewing the repair mask. I got Mitch (my boyfriend) to wear this one as his skin is quite dry.

So according to the website, the repair mask:

Provides deep hydration and smooths wrinkles with special ingredients including Lipidure® which has the capacity to hold over 2,000 times its weight in water (that's twice the hydration of Hyaluronic Acid) and Allantoin, which softens, soothes and heals your skin.

So what did Mitch think of this mask? I've jotted down some of his comments.

  • "It doesn't have a strong smell, which is good."
  • "It's not sticking to my facial hair?" I noticed that while he had the mask on, it didn't stick to this stubble. So my recommendation would be to shave before hand.
  • "My skin is pretty smooth!" I did notice that his face looked more plump after we had the mask on for 20 minutes.
  • "There is a bit of serum left. Is that normal?" It absorbed really fast once the mask was removed (we rubbed it in), and it didn't leave a sticky residue.

Next up was the anti-aging mask. This is a quote from their website about the anti-aging mask:

Our advanced Anti-Ageing mask provides deep hydration and smooths wrinkles with special ingredients including Lipidure® which has the capacity to hold over 2,000 times its weight in water (that's twice the hydration of Hyaluronic Acid) and Centella, which stimulates your collagen production, new cell growth, and increases elasticity.

I really loved this mask! It doesn't have a harsh smell, and it's super comfortable to wear. There was also a generous amount of serum on the mask, so it went on pretty well. I left the mask on for 30 minutes (watched some Riverdale) and then removed the mask. My skin felt really smooth afterwards. I will definitely keep using the anti-aging mask as it's never to early to start slowing down the aging process.

So why do I love these masks so much (lets recap)?

  • They are free from all those nasties (parabens, propylene glycol, mineral oils, sulphates and artificial fragrances).
  • They aren't tested on animals.
  • They are free from animal-derived ingredients.
  • They are super easy to use.
  • They have a pleasant smell.
  • There is heaps of serum on the mask (it doesn't feel drying).
Ok, so how do you use these masks (tips please)?

  • First you want to start off by cleansing your face.
  • Then unfold the mask and remove the net from the one side.
  • Place the mask on your face (kinda obvious...right?).
  • Then you want to remove the second net from the other side.
  • Once that is done, you can adjust the mask to fit. I usually press it gently on my face, and work it around my nose.
  • After 15-30 minutes, you can remove the mask.
  • Va La!

Well my beauties! There is my review of the two masks I tried from Luiere. I'd totally recommend buying them. They are super affordable and they do worldwide shipping too!
