Hey Beauties! :D

We've all heard about face scrubs. But what do they actually do? And how do we know which one to use for our skin type? Well, if you want to find out more just keep reading!

As we all know (hopefully), there are five different skin types.
  • Normal
  • Dry
  • Oily
  • Combination
  • Sensitive

If you aren't sure which skin type you might be, just CLICK HERE. Alternatively you can read the whole blog through and I'll paste the link at the bottom of the blog for you.

So lets begin with normal skin. If you have normal skin, you want to try and find a face scrub with gentle, fine particles. This won't upset your skin's balance.

If you have dry skin, you should use a scrub that is creamy in texture, has fine grains and moisturising oils.

For those who have oily skin, you should be looking for a scrub with small particles and flower or fruit extracts, such as apricot, pineapple or magnolia. Remember to try and not over-exfoliate. By doing this, your skin will produce more oils.

If you have combination skin (like me), you should be looking out for scrubs that contain extracts from fruit, green tea, or plants, as well as vitimin E.

Now sensitive skin is very important to look after. The best way to scrub your face would be with a face cloth and some facial wash. Try finding a face wash that has oats as an ingredient. This will help to soothe sensitive skin, but remember, always try new skincare on a small area of your body first to see if your skin reacts.

So why should we exfoliate/ scrub?

Basically, it helps to exfoliate your skin to remove dead skin cells and open up your pores. This allows your skin to absorb hydrating moisturisers more easily.

So next time you are checking out your skin in the mirror and notice some dullness, it's usually a sign that you need to exfoliate. Which is me right now! Anyway, I'm off to exfoliate, but before I go, don't forget to subscribe to my blog (I only release one every week, so you won't be spammed).

Oh, and I also have social media, incase you forgot- come and say hi!
